Role Overview

This position is for a full-time, in-person English Language Teacher located in Accra. The appointed teacher will design, implement, and evaluate stimulating English lessons conforming to the school's curriculum and educational goals. Key duties include preparing lesson plans, delivering instruction, grading assignments, offering constructive critiques, and aiding pupil proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

The role also involves upholding classroom discipline, monitoring student achievement, maintaining communication with parents or guardians as necessary, and engaging in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events. Collaborative development of teaching resources and active participation in improving pedagogical methods are also expected.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE and AS/A Level curricula at the secondary level.
• Understanding and familiarity with the Cambridge Curriculum for secondary education.
• Minimum 3 years of experience teaching English at the primary level.
• A strong passion for teaching and working with children.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Skills in fostering an engaging and supportive educational atmosphere.
