Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Employment Lawyer to become an integral part of our busy litigation team. This is primarily a full-time role, with potential part-time options available for suitable candidates. Remote work is supported with an expectation for occasional presence at our Tauranga office for important mediations and hearings.
Key Responsibilities and Expertise Required
- Provide legal advice and representation focused on employment law litigation.
- Handle employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, workplace policies, disciplinary and performance management matters, redundancies, restructuring, and workplace health and safety issues.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues, including another employment lawyer, fostering a cooperative team environment.
- Create detailed and precise legal documents, ensuring rigorous attention to detail.
- Utilize strong analytical and practical problem-solving abilities to support clients effectively.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of five years post-qualification experience specializing in employment law.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
