Role overview
Jefferson County Public Schools is hiring an Elementary School Assistant Principal for Goldsmith Elementary School for the 2026-2027 year. The role begins at 9:40 am and is based onsite in the Louisville Metropolitan Area.
Compensation and schedule
This position is on Salary Schedule / Grade IV / 11. The work calendar is 215 days with 8 hours per day. The estimated annual starting pay ranges from $71,506.65 to $119,866.38, subject to salary placement rules.
What the position involves
Working under the Principal’s direction, the Assistant Principal supports the school by leading, supervising, and assessing instructional programs and assigned staff. The role also includes protecting student well-being, building positive relationships with the school community, and helping establish and carry out school rules, procedures, and operating expectations aligned with district policy.
Eligibility and minimum qualifications
Applicants must hold a master’s degree and Kentucky certification in Administration and Supervision at the level required for the assignment, including Principal certification. A minimum of three years of successful teaching experience is required, along with strong communication skills.
