Introduction
Are you a technically adept technician enthusiastic about electronics and troubleshooting? This role offers a chance to join the launch and expansion of a new service laboratory in Saudi Arabia. We seek a skilled professional who is eager to influence the development and growth of a local operation from the ground up. Role Overview
You will be responsible for repairing and calibrating a variety of test and measurement instruments, ensuring compliance with accredited and traceable standards. Significant hands-on experience with electronic repair is essential. As part of a new lab team in Saudi Arabia, you will operate with flexibility, ownership, and contribute across various lab tasks. The objective is to achieve a 95% repair and calibration turnaround within five business days, delivering outstanding service to customers.
Responsibilities
- Conduct calibrations according to traceable and accredited standards
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic testing equipment
- Assist in setting up and advancing the new service laboratory in Saudi Arabia
- Maintain high service quality and foster strong customer satisfaction
- Complete administrative duties associated with service operations including reports, certificates, and system data updates
- Implement updates to firmware, hardware, and software as necessary
- Provide technical guidance and support to customers and internal teams
- Contribute to ongoing improvements to enhance turnaround times and laboratory efficiency
- Ensure adherence to relevant local regulations, quality, and safety standards
Experience and Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or similar qualification at mid to high level
- Proven practical experience in repairing electronic or electrical devices is mandatory
- Familiarity with calibration processes is highly advantageous
- Capability to interpret technical schematics and drawings
- Experience with test and measurement devices preferred
- Understanding of quality assurance and traceability standards, with ISO/IEC 17025 knowledge as a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to operate autonomously
- English proficiency required; Arabic language skills are a benefit
