About the Opportunity
A well-established ecological consultancy located near Shaftesbury, Dorset, seeks a motivated Ecologist to join their supportive and friendly team. This role offers the chance to advance your career while engaging in impactful conservation-led projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct ecological surveys across southern England on projects ranging from small developments to large infrastructure schemes.
- Perform habitat assessments and prepare detailed ecological reports.
- Assist clients throughout planning and licensing procedures.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a relevant degree in ecology or a related environmental field.
- Have experience of at least two ecological consultancy seasons.
- Be skilled in conducting various field surveys, especially for protected species.
- Demonstrate strong written communication and report drafting abilities.
- Hold a full UK driving licence with a willingness to travel for site visits.
- Possession of protected species licences (e.g., for bats or great crested newts) is advantageous but not mandatory.
