Overview
This opportunity invites applicants residing in Canada to join a partner company as a Drug Safety Coordinator. The role is pivotal in advancing patient safety by managing essential pharmacovigilance and drug safety operations within the healthcare sector. In this collaborative setting, the coordinator ensures precise documentation, prompt handling of safety data, and adherence to regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, assess, and document clinical and safety data in line with established protocols, procedures, and regulations.
- Input and preserve accurate patient and safety records within designated databases and quality systems.
- Evaluate patient details, adverse event reports, and related documents to confirm thoroughness, precision, and compliance.
- Communicate with internal and external parties to obtain missing details, clarify information, and facilitate case resolution.
- Conduct quality inspections on safety reports and help reconcile data with clients and partners.
- Manage incoming paperwork by sorting, reviewing, filing, scanning, and linking relevant reports to safety databases.
- Assist in translation efforts and support literature searches and reviews pertinent to drug safety.
- Perform follow-ups to complete safety reports with all necessary information.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive medical and patient information.
- Engage in additional projects, tasks, and on-call duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of post-secondary education is essential; degrees or diplomas in Life Sciences or related healthcare disciplines are highly advantageous.
- Preferred experience or familiarity with pharmacovigilance, drug safety, medical information, or pharmaceutical contexts.
- Background in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical sectors, including knowledge of medical terminology, is beneficial.
- Exceptional attention to detail to consistently analyze complex information accurately.
- Strong organizational ability to juggle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to dynamic priorities.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with teams, clients, and healthcare stakeholders.
- Problem-solving aptitude to identify, convey, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Competence in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Capability to work independently in a remote setup with stable internet connectivity.
- Bilingualism in English and French is a notable plus.
- Availability for an 8-hour shift scheduled between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM as required.
