Drafter

Job Summary

The Energy Services Drafter will produce comprehensive and precise drawings of buildings, structures, and projects by interpreting architects' plans and adhering to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed and full-scale architectural and interior designs using CAD software, based on preliminary sketches from architects.
• Analyze building codes and regulations to assess their impact on architectural blueprints.
• Coordinate designs across civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical disciplines.
• Develop plans for foundations, buildings, and other structures under guidance from engineers and architects.
• Conduct site visits to collect data necessary for completing design plans.
• Identify required materials and estimate quantities to be procured.
• Collaborate with architects to prepare cost estimates, contracts, and related project documentation.
• Perform additional assigned duties as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficient with CAD software and architectural drafting technology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Associate's degree in Drafting.
• Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience.

Physical Requirements

• Extended periods of desk work involving computer use.
• Ability to access and move around diverse construction sites.
• Capability to lift weights up to 15 pounds occasionally.
