Role Overview
As a Dishwasher / Prep Cook, you will play an integral role within our culinary team by maintaining cleanliness and order in dishwashing and food service areas and assisting with food preparation under the Head Chef’s guidance. Your contribution ensures our guests receive outstanding food and beverage experiences in a hygienic and efficient kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all dishware, glassware, and kitchen utensils following culinary standards of Tyax leadership.
- Monitor dishwashing machine temperatures to guarantee sanitary cleaning cycles.
- Report any equipment malfunctions promptly to management.
- Receive, store, and organize kitchen supplies properly.
- Maintain kitchen and equipment cleanliness as scheduled or requested.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision.
- Contribute to an excellent guest experience by upholding high-quality culinary service standards.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations.
- Carry out daily tasks independently and efficiently without supervision.
- Adapt to additional responsibilities as needed to support guest satisfaction.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a team-oriented attitude.
- Dependability and flexibility to work varied shifts including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Keen eagerness to develop skills and learn new tasks.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting with outstanding attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Self-motivation and a genuine commitment to delivering superior customer service.
- BC Food Safe Level 1 certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 70 pounds.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada is required.

Compensation Details
The position offers an hourly wage of $18.50.
