Discrete Event Simulation Engineer

Job Overview

Seeking an experienced professional to design, enhance, and integrate manufacturing systems that involve people, materials, information, equipment, and energy. The role focuses on applying methodologies like lean manufacturing, kaizen, Six Sigma, and root-cause analysis to evaluate design concepts and promote innovations, corrective measures, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize discrete event and in-plant logistics simulations.
• Simulate process flow, material flow, and throughput to detect bottlenecks, minimize buffer sizes, and improve throughput efficiency.
• Model and optimize Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) routes to prevent traffic issues such as static clashes and gridlocks.
• Execute targeted experiments assessing facility process efficiency and operator travel times.
• Perform simulations in both 2D and 3D environments to evaluate manufacturing scenarios.
• Analyze operator efficiency by measuring travel time and workflow.

Eligibility

Applicants should have between 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in the field and be located in or willing to work onsite in Pune District, Maharashtra, India.
