About the company
A prominent nationwide behavioral health treatment provider is hiring a seasoned admissions leader to strengthen and scale its admissions function. This is a senior, high-impact position focused on improving admissions outcomes, building team capability, increasing operational effectiveness, and delivering an excellent patient experience. The role requires relocation to California.
About the role
The Director of Admissions will take charge of the admissions department, with responsibility for performance management, team growth, and day-to-day operational optimization.
Key responsibilities
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development to a strong admissions team.
- Manage daily admissions activity, refine workflows, and raise operational efficiency.
- Evaluate and sign off on financial agreements and admissions decisions.
- Create and roll out training initiatives that improve consistency and performance across the team.
- Track performance metrics, prepare updates for leadership, and surface opportunities to improve processes.
- Work closely with executive leaders on hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management for admissions staff.
- Maintain adherence to internal policies and industry standards while delivering outstanding customer care.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of director-level leadership in admissions within behavioral health, addiction treatment, or healthcare.
- Demonstrated success in managing and developing large admissions teams.
- Solid knowledge of admissions workflows, financial approvals, reporting, and process improvement.
- Proven ability to train, coach, and mentor admissions professionals.
- Experience supporting recruiting, interviewing, and hiring for admissions roles.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Willingness to relocate to the Newport Beach, California area is required.
Compensation and benefits
- Competitive base pay in the range of $150,000 to $200,000.
