Role Summary

The Director General / Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for leading Laxmandeep at the highest level. This remote, full-time position calls for defining the organization’s vision, major priorities, and long-term direction in alignment with its mission of global influence and sustainable growth. The role covers leadership of international investment efforts, relationship-building with partners, and creation of systems that support employment growth and business expansion.

Key Duties

The CEO will manage executive leadership functions, distribute resources effectively, and build governance, risk, and performance tracking frameworks. The position includes reviewing financial and operational performance, shaping policies and standards related to economic development, representing the organization to investors and other stakeholders, and ensuring that all relevant regulatory obligations are met. The leader will also promote innovation, ethical decision-making, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Qualifications

Applicants should bring substantial senior-level leadership experience in complex, growth-driven organizations, ideally within investment, economic development, education, or a similar field. The ideal candidate will have strong capability in strategic planning and execution, including long-range vision setting, measurable target development, and organization-wide alignment.

Experience in global investment oversight, business development, and building partnerships or alliances with public, private, and international stakeholders is important. The role also requires advanced financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and supervision of major programs or portfolios.

Candidates should be experienced in governance, risk control, and regulatory compliance, with a proven ability to design and implement strong policies and internal controls. A genuine commitment to social impact, sustainable development, and responsible employment practices is expected, along with sensitivity to diverse cultural and national environments.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills are essential, including experience presenting to boards, investors, and public audiences. The role also requires the ability to lead distributed remote teams, encourage collaboration, maintain accountability, and support inclusive decision-making.

A master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Public Policy, or a related discipline is preferred, although comparable senior leadership experience may be accepted. The candidate should also be prepared to work across time zones and travel internationally when required.
