Overview
Based in vibrant Singapore, Scoot is expanding its operations for the Boeing 787 widebody aircraft and is actively seeking experienced B787 type-rated captains. Candidates should exhibit robust leadership in command, prioritize safety, and demonstrate disciplined operational skills.
Role Details
As a captain occupying the left seat of the Boeing 787, you will assume command responsibility, upholding the highest professional and personal standards. Your main objective is to ensure that every flight is safe, timely, and comfortable for passengers. You will serve as both a leader and collaborator, fostering a positive work environment and mentoring team members to embody the distinctive Scoot attitude.
The position offers variable roster patterns, aligned with company and regulatory requirements, providing predictable scheduling to assist with personal planning. Additionally, the role is accompanied by a very competitive salary and a streamlined training program for faster integration into operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum total flight experience exceeding 5,000 hours on aircraft with a Maximum Takeoff Mass (MTOW) of 5,700 kg or higher.
- At least 2,000 pilot-in-command (PIC) hours on multi-engine jet aircraft certified for multi-crew operation, excluding pilot-under-supervision hours.
- Must hold a Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) issued ICAO Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL). Candidates with foreign ATPLs must complete license conversion which includes a valid instrument rating and a proficiency check with at least six months validity.
- English proficiency must meet ICAO level 4 or higher standards.
- Fulfillment of all vaccination requirements mandated by CAAS.

Additional Information
- When necessary, selected candidates will undergo aircraft type rating training for the assigned fleet.
- Such candidates will be required to co-pay the training costs and enter into a training bond agreement.
- The recruitment process involves multiple stages: an online aptitude test for shortlisted applicants; followed by an assessment centre in Singapore including group exercises and individual interviews; culminating with simulator and personality assessments over two days for successful candidates.
