About Halter

Halter is building technology that helps farmers and graziers run more productive and sustainable operations. Its customers use Halter to move away from time-heavy traditional methods and to transform grazing through a modern, tech-enabled approach. The company is focused on meaningful work, tackling difficult challenges with a high-performing team, and creating real-world impact. Halter is supported by leading investors including Founders Fund, Bessemer Venture Partners, BOND, DCVC, Blackbird, Promus Ventures, Rocket Lab’s Peter Beck and Icehouse Ventures.

About the Role

This position is responsible for Halter’s global paid social performance. The role is focused on reaching farmers at scale with the right creative, driving qualified leads efficiently, and expanding successful campaigns across channels. You will manage Meta end to end and help open up new opportunities in channels such as TikTok, YouTube, and programmatic platforms like StackAdapt as they become relevant.

The role is creative-led, with a strong emphasis on testing and refining ad concepts with Brand and Regional teams. Performance depends on understanding audience differences across segments and regions, such as dairy vs beef and North Island vs South Island, and adjusting messaging accordingly. You will report to the Performance Marketing Lead and be accountable for paid social’s contribution to lead and pipeline goals.

AI is expected to be a core part of how you work, supporting creative analysis, audience research, reporting, and fast iteration.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own paid social performance across global markets, with direct accountability for leads and cost efficiency.
  • Manage the Meta ad account from end to end and scale what is delivering results.
  • Lead creative testing by partnering with Brand and Regional teams on static and video ad development.
  • Launch and evaluate tests on emerging channels such as TikTok and YouTube, as well as relevant programmatic options.
  • Analyse campaign performance by market and segment, and decide which creative and audience combinations to keep, improve, or stop.
  • Investigate increases in CPL by identifying whether the issue is creative fatigue, audience saturation, or landing-page performance.
  • Work with the CRO owner, website owner, and RevOps to improve lead quality and conversion outcomes.
  • Align lead and pipeline reporting with the Performance Marketing Lead and help justify budget shifts toward stronger returns.
  • Use AI tools to speed up research, creative analysis, reporting, and experimentation.
  • Produce regular readouts on creative performance, including what is working, what is declining, and what should be created next.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience running paid social against a real lead or revenue target, with evidence of improving results rather than simply spending budget.
  • A strong creative-first approach to media buying, with the ability to brief, test, and interpret ad creative effectively.
  • Comfort building audience and creative strategies across different markets and customer groups.
  • Confidence working with performance metrics such as CPL, CAC, budget allocation, and the full path from impression to qualified lead.
  • Ability to evaluate regional performance differences and tell apart meaningful signals from background noise.
  • A habit of continuous experimentation, with the discipline to stop underperforming ideas quickly.
  • Understanding of the full funnel, including lead quality, not just click volume.
  • Comfort using AI as part of everyday work to move faster and improve output.

Bonus Experience

  • Experience scaling paid social in a high-growth SaaS, hardware, or ag-tech environment.
  • Experience running paid social campaigns across multiple markets with region-specific messaging adjustments.
  • Background launching and growing a new paid social channel from zero.
  • Experience working closely with creative teams to build a rapid testing process.

Benefits

  • Snacks and drinks are provided for day-to-day comfort at work.
  • Health support through Southern Cross Health Insurance.
  • Six months of fully paid parental leave for primary caregivers and four weeks of fully paid leave for secondary caregivers, plus additional family-friendly support.
  • An annual self-development allowance of $1,000 for personal growth activities.
  • Wellness leave and unlimited paid annual leave.
  • A compensation package that includes salary, benefits, and an employee stock ownership plan.

Office First Approach

Halter follows an office-first culture because in-person collaboration is seen as important for growth, learning, impact, and strong working relationships. The company is not office-only; working from the office is the default, but flexibility is available when needed. Halter describes its workplace as high-energy, high-trust, and designed for people to solve problems, innovate, and learn from one another.

Application Note

Candidates are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet every requirement, as Halter welcomes people from diverse and under-represented backgrounds. Applicants are asked to include a cover letter explaining their interest in the role and in working at Halter, together with a CV.
