About the Role
American Marine Canvas & Upholstery is looking for a committed Digital Health Coach to join their team remotely from New York, NY. This role involves helping individuals reach their health and wellness objectives using a state-of-the-art digital platform. The position demands a blend of thorough knowledge in health sciences, behavioural change, and excellent digital communication skills. The goal is to support clients in making lasting improvements in nutrition, physical fitness, and stress management.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver health coaching one-on-one and in groups through digital mediums such as video conferencing, chat, and email.
- Create personalized wellness plans that correspond to each client’s goals, preferences, and needs.
- Track client progress, analyze data from digital tools, and adapt coaching approaches for maximum effectiveness.
- Produce engaging content including articles, guides, and webinars to assist and motivate the user community.
- Encourage an uplifting and motivating digital environment to build clients' confidence and autonomy in their health journey.
- Keep comprehensive, confidential records of all client interactions and progress metrics.
- Work with the broader team to enhance the coaching program and improve digital health offerings.
- Remain current on new research, trends, and best practices in digital health coaching and wellness.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Kinesiology, Public Health, Psychology, or related field.
- Preferred professional certification from a recognized health coaching body.
- Demonstrated experience as a health coach, particularly in a digital or remote context.
- Strong understanding of behavioural change models and motivational interviewing.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively connect with clients remotely.
- Competency with digital health technologies, communication tools, and data tracking software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills for handling diverse client caseloads.
- Empathy and a non-judgmental coaching approach.
