Dietician

Job Overview

As a Dietician, you will be responsible for evaluating the nutritional health and dietary needs of patients, creating and administering personalized diet plans for both outpatient (OPD) and inpatient (IPD) settings. You will offer nutrition counseling to individuals dealing with conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity, renal and cardiac diseases, and other health problems. Your role includes tracking patient progress, adapting dietary plans accordingly, and working closely with healthcare team members including doctors and nurses to deliver holistic patient care.

Patient and family education on healthy nutrition and lifestyle changes is also a critical part of this role. Additionally, you will maintain comprehensive records of assessments, diet plans, and follow-up consultations while adhering strictly to hospital policies, NABH standards, and relevant healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed nutritional assessments for both OPD and IPD patients.
• Create and execute tailored diet plans reflecting patients' unique medical conditions and nutritional requirements.
• Offer specialized dietary guidance for chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity, cardiac, renal, and gastrointestinal disorders.
• Regularly evaluate patient progress and update diet plans as needed.
• Collaborate effectively with medical staff including doctors and nurses to ensure seamless patient care coordination.

Qualifications and Skills

• Educational credentials including B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Nutrition & Dietetics or Clinical Nutrition.
• Strong clinical expertise and thorough knowledge of nutritional sciences.
• Exceptional patient counseling and communication skills.
• Proficiency in assessing patients and providing diet counseling within IPD and OPD frameworks.
