DGM - Finance (Tender Analyst)

Role overview

Intas Pharmaceuticals is hiring a Tender Analyst within the DGM - Finance track for its Corporate Office in Ahmedabad. This position sits in the Tender Commercial - Europe department and reports to the VP Strategic Tenders - EMENA. The role focuses on tender intelligence, financial evaluation, commercial decision support, and coordination with cross-functional and regional teams.

Core responsibilities

• Work closely with senior leadership, commercial heads, finance leaders, and regional management teams to assess tender pipelines, business opportunities, risks, and strategic priorities.
• Design and roll out a tender policy along with an approval workflow.
• Build a tender executive dashboard that provides leadership with analytics, forecasts, and risk insights.
• Develop and manage a detailed tender tracking structure across several countries and regions, including volumes, sales, profits, and product-level risk.
• Track upcoming pharmaceutical tenders and give stakeholders forward visibility, including a two-year tender outlook.
• Create structured methods to identify and assess tender opportunities.
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools to manage the tender pipeline.
• Evaluate revenue potential, profitability, pricing impact, and related risks, including pricing and COGS information across markets.
• Support bid/no-bid decisions by providing data-backed recommendations to business leadership.
• Carry out competitor and market analysis to improve tender strategy.
• Serve as the main link between commercial teams and supply chain functions.
• Ensure product availability, forecasting, inventory planning, and supply readiness for tender commitments.
• Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to reduce operational risk and keep processes running smoothly.
• Lead the creation, improvement, and governance of the Tender Analytics Network (TAN) tool.
• Maintain data accuracy, integrity, and reporting discipline.
• Support automation and digitalisation initiatives related to tender analytics and reporting.
• Handle any other tasks assigned by senior management.

Profile and experience

• Lead the end-to-end tender intelligence and analytics function for pharmaceutical markets, providing visibility into opportunities, commercial assessments, financial analysis, operational preparedness, and cross-functional coordination.
• Hold a CA, ICWA, or MBA qualification with a strong academic track record.
• Bring at least 15 years of post-qualification experience in a multinational manufacturing environment, preferably in pharmaceuticals or FMCG.
• Have experience with tender management software.
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrate cultural awareness and the ability to work effectively with global colleagues.
• Be able to work independently and take initiative.
• Show strong administrative ability, attention to detail, and advanced skills in IT and data management.
• Be a dynamic, influential manager who can inspire teams, meet deadlines, and manage expectations confidently.
• Be capable of handling multiple priorities and making critical decisions under tight timelines.
