Role Summary

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer who will be essential in building and sustaining the infrastructure that underpins our software development and deployment activities. This role demands close collaboration across teams to guarantee that our systems are scalable, secure, and dependable, thus enabling swift and efficient delivery of software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage infrastructure as code using technologies such as Terraform or CloudFormation, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Create, execute, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate the software release process and refine workflows alongside development teams.
  • Utilize configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet to configure and maintain application servers, databases, and infrastructure consistently across environments.
  • Implement monitoring and logging systems to detect issues proactively and support effective troubleshooting.
  • Facilitate collaboration between development and IT operations teams to maintain smooth production operations and provide necessary technical assistance.
  • Enforce security best practices and conduct routine audits and vulnerability assessments to maintain infrastructure security.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience in a DevOps Engineer or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python to automate tasks.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
  • Knowledgeable about cloud computing platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; certifications are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git and collaborative development methodologies.

Additional Skills (Preferred)

  • A strong technical portfolio showcasing capabilities.
  • Knowledge of advanced security practices applicable to cloud environments.

First 30 to 60 Days Plan

First 30 Days:

  • Complete orientation and get acquainted with organizational tools and processes.
  • Assess existing infrastructure, identifying possibilities for improvement.
  • Undertake a manageable project focused on developing or enhancing a CI/CD pipeline.
  • Consult with teams to comprehend challenges and formulate practical solutions.

Next 30 Days (Up to Day 60):

  • Assume responsibility for intermediate-level infrastructure tasks like automation of routine operations and enhancing monitoring tools.
  • Collaborate to refine build and deployment processes.
  • Initiate and recommend security upgrades.
  • Offer insights and suggestions to improve DevOps workflows and methodologies.

Location and Experience

This full-time position is based onsite in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India, and requires a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
