Role overview

OXBO is hiring an experienced Development Manager to help expand a significant pipeline of data centre projects across several European markets. This position plays a central part in sourcing, progressing, and delivering large infrastructure developments, with involvement from initial site search through to final handover.

The role sits within a growing, knowledgeable team and requires close coordination with internal experts and outside partners. You will contribute to development strategy and execution for mission-critical assets, working on a wide range of workstreams such as land, planning, utilities, technical review, commercial matters, and stakeholder coordination.

Key responsibilities

  • Take ownership of data centre and associated infrastructure projects from early origination through delivery.
  • Handle land acquisition activity, including discussions and negotiations with landowners, agents, and other relevant parties.
  • Shape and manage planning and permitting approaches, working with local authorities, consultants, and regulators.
  • Contribute to utility and infrastructure plans, including liaison with network providers and technical specialists.
  • Bring together technical, environmental, commercial, and legal inputs across the full development process.
  • Carry out site reviews, feasibility analysis, and development assessments.
  • Develop and sustain strong relationships with external stakeholders across different jurisdictions.
  • Offer strategic guidance on project and portfolio development decisions.
  • Assist and mentor junior colleagues while helping improve development practices.

Requirements

  • Background in infrastructure, renewable energy, industrial, logistics, real estate, or data centre development.
  • Solid knowledge of planning, land, permitting, and wider project development processes.
  • Commercial awareness with strong negotiation ability and stakeholder-handling skills.
  • Experience delivering complex projects involving multiple disciplines.
  • Confidence working across several countries, regulatory frameworks, and stakeholder groups.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously while remaining an effective team contributor.
