Role summary

The Deployment Associate supports the preparation and fulfillment of point-of-sale and credit card hardware for deployment. The role includes device setup, testing, inventory handling, order processing, and ensuring shipments go out accurately and on time. Success in the role depends on working with care, staying organized, and performing well in a busy environment while following quality and safety expectations.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up, image, and tailor POS and credit card devices for deployment.
  • Prepare equipment, peripherals, and supplies by programming, testing, packing, and dispatching them.
  • Process daily orders, accept incoming stock, and keep inventory records accurate.
  • Work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines in a high-volume setting.
  • Use supplied procedures and instructions to troubleshoot and fix operational issues quickly.
  • Stay familiar with internal workflows, procedures, and how the department affects broader business operations.
  • Complete other tasks as required.

Qualifications

  • High School Certificate or an equivalent qualification is required.
  • Technical certifications such as A+, Net+, Security+, or Microsoft credentials are advantageous.
  • Comfort with handling physical stock, including frequently lifting 5–10 kg, occasionally up to 15 kg, and at times up to 25 kg.
  • Prior exposure to the credit card industry, either acquiring or issuing, is preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, Windows-based tools, and email.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays when needed.
  • Strong organizational ability and the capacity to stay productive under pressure.
  • Ability to manage shipments, wrap pallets, and use hand trucks or pallet jacks.
  • Experience with product testing, cleaning, sorting, and preparing items for RMA or reuse is useful.
  • Must meet attendance and performance expectations.
