Role Overview

As a Data Science Intern for the Fall 2026 term, you will be part of our Data Science team which analyzes extensive data collected from ecobee smart products to uncover valuable insights and advance our smart home technology ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop sophisticated and intelligent features by combining sensor data and machine learning in our smart home devices.
• Contribute meaningfully to a small, expanding team impacting thousands of users and promoting sustainable energy usage.
• Utilize cutting-edge big data technologies and tools.

Candidate Requirements

• Currently pursuing a full-time degree in a technical or quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Applied Mathematics.
• Proficient programming skills in Python, Java, or C++.
• Experience applying data analysis and machine learning techniques to practical problems.
• Basic understanding of software engineering best practices.
• Familiarity with data engineering platforms like Dataflow or Spark is advantageous.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.
