Job Overview
Join Traveloka as a Data Manager leading a specialized analytics team focused on market demand, pricing elasticity, and profitability analysis. This role involves both strategic leadership and hands-on technical contribution, aiming to strengthen the company's competitive market position through advanced data analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a team of data specialists working on market demand and pricing elasticity, providing mentorship and performing code reviews.
- Create and manage a comprehensive analytical framework dubbed the "Single Source of Truth" (SSOT) to assess market competitiveness with robust benchmarking models.
- Engage directly in data analysis by writing sophisticated queries, developing preliminary models, and resolving pipeline issues.
- Design automated data acquisition systems prioritizing high-impact segments by leveraging historical trend analysis for efficient resource allocation.
- Lead projects enhancing product comparability by applying statistical models and market benchmarking to detect gaps and advise supply teams accordingly.
- Plan and conduct frequent experimentation including A/B testing and simulations to validate pricing strategies ensuring revenue growth aligns with unit economic goals.
- Develop diagnostic mechanisms to detect margin leakage sources and optimize pricing decisions to secure long-term revenue stability.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of five years’ experience in data, pricing, or revenue management, including at least two years in leadership or team management.
- Practical, hands-on approach comfortable working across stakeholder engagement and technical troubleshooting.
- Proficient in SQL and Python with experience in large-scale data scraping and cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery or Snowflake preferred.
- Expertise in designing and implementing A/B tests and simulations to validate business assumptions.
- Strong business insight into net revenue margins, conversion dynamics, and the travel/accommodation industry ecosystem.
- Skilled in creating and sustaining actionable dashboards using tools like Tableau, Looker, or equivalents.
- Capable of diagnosing data inconsistencies and implementing automation solutions to reduce manual workload.
