Data Analyst - Healthcare Domain

Overview

We are seeking a Data Analyst specializing in the healthcare domain for a remote contract role based in Mexico or Canada. This position involves leading the execution of complex data solutions and interfacing closely with business stakeholders to resolve critical challenges through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and complete data projects, adhering to best practices for analysis, architecture, modeling, design, coding, and testing.
• Contribute to enterprise data architecture, including defining design principles and creating models for transactional and analytical frameworks.
• Collaborate with business units to translate key issues into data and analytic solutions.
• Develop data models and transformation logic, coordinating with data engineers on pipeline implementation.
• Prototype solutions to facilitate measurement and monitoring of performance indicators.
• Work with senior management to identify data requirements aligned with department objectives.
• Coordinate with product owners on project scope, timelines, risk management, and status updates.
• Become a subject matter expert across multiple data domains and establish standards for data quality.
• Promote self-service data access for business users to efficiently obtain accurate information.
• Support data science teams by providing well-structured, high-quality data for machine learning model development.
• Maintain productive relationships with internal and external clients.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field with 8 years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in converting business rules into technical data requirements.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience building data warehouses.
• Strong skills in user story creation, data warehouse design and modeling (3rd normal form and dimensional modeling), data integration, and performance optimization.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for conveying complex technical concepts effectively.
• Demonstrated ability in problem solving, troubleshooting, work estimation, design/code review, and data testing.
• Versatility to undertake multiple roles such as analyst, developer, and tester across different projects.
• Advanced knowledge of big data platforms like DataBricks, Delta Lake, Apache Spark, Snowflake, and Redshift.
• Familiarity with relational databases (Azure SQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
• Experience with ETL tools such as DBT, Databricks, and Python programming.
