About Meriton and Role Overview
Meriton is a cohesive national network of experts spearheading innovation in the HVAC sector by supporting and strategizing across multiple high-performance companies. Our mission is to enhance operational strength and increase value for both our partners and employees. We are inviting a detail-oriented Data Analyst to contribute meaningfully to Project Ignite, a major enterprise transformation initiative that consolidates over 20 companies into one Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Project Operations platform. This role is based at our Shared Services office in Irving, TX.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate legacy and source data readiness, identifying dependencies, inconsistencies, and quality issues in preparation for migration waves.
- Utilize SQL queries for data extraction, validation, joining, and reconciliation across source, staging, and target datasets.
- Create and maintain comprehensive mapping documents, data quality logs, reconciliation worksheets, and extraction tracking resources.
- Standardize migration playbooks, naming conventions, and governance protocols to ensure scalability across multiple operating companies.
- Translate complex business rules and legacy processes into precise data mapping and transformation logic with clear documentation.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to comprehend data generation and usage, aligning it with future state requirements.
- Lead the data stream for specific operating companies during later implementation phases, managing extraction, mapping, migration activities, and communication.
- Partner cross-functionally with system analysts, architects, engineers, QA teams, and SMEs to support testing, conversions, cutover planning, and post-deployment support.
- Oversee issue tracking, risk assessment, and timely escalation while maintaining transparent stakeholder communication.
- Manage offline migration logistics including file preparation, validation, and coordination of business communications.
- Validate data outcomes during UAT and dress rehearsals, document defects, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Potentially support or take ownership of ETL pipelines and Microsoft Fabric components pertinent to migration and reporting workflows based on expertise and project demands.
- Develop and update training materials, playbooks, runbooks, and documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer and efficient future wave deployments.
- Enhance understanding of D365 data entities, packages, staging concepts, and Power Platform elements related to reporting and integration.
- Share lessons learned post-deployment to improve internal program capabilities over time.
- Regularly communicate progress and collaborate effectively with leadership and other teams on research or special projects.
- Adhere strictly to ethical, legal, and company policies and guide others similarly.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Business, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a closely related discipline.
- Between 5 to 8 years of experience in ERP business analysis, financial systems, or finance operations, with a strong preference for in-depth experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Proficient in writing and managing SQL queries; familiarity with Power BI or Microsoft Fabric is an advantage.
- Demonstrated involvement in full-cycle implementations or major module rollouts of D365 F&O, including UAT participation and data validation during ERP deployments.
- Comfortable working within an agile delivery environment delivering sprint-based outcomes.
- Preferred experience includes D365 Project Operations, project-based billing, multi-entity deployments, and financial reporting tools.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- The position operates primarily from the Shared Services office in Irving, TX, with possible telework or travel required based on project needs.
- The office environment has moderate noise and temperature levels.
- Physically, candidates should be capable of standing for extended periods, walking, bending, reaching frequently, lifting up to 20 lbs., and traveling by plane or car as necessary.
