Role Overview
The Customer Supply Chain Manager is a pivotal member within the Retail team and the broader Supply Chain organization. This role is responsible for managing retail or digital channel operations end-to-end, including forecasting, replenishment, inventory management, in-store processes, and chargeback resolution. The manager ensures product availability and seamless execution for Flamingo and Harry's brands by collaborating across multiple departments and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales, demand and supply planning, and inventory management teams to lead forecasting and replenishment activities.
- Act as the primary expert for retail operations in assigned channels, covering fulfillment, warehousing, transportation, display execution, contracts, allowances, and chargebacks.
- Oversee retail operations based on best practices and data analysis, optimizing return on retail investments.
- Manage third-party brokers to align channel execution with customer requirements.
- Develop detailed reporting and scorecards linked to operational success and key performance indicators.
- Identify operational gaps and devise strategic roadmaps with internal teams and external partners.
- Lead integrated business planning efforts to provide accurate sales forecasts and adapt to business changes.
- Support strategic company goals by translating them into actionable operational plans and leading their execution.
- Own distribution logistics for the channel, ensuring timely fulfillment, sales order accuracy, and continuous improvements through insights and analysis.
- Conduct weekly inventory replenishment reviews to maintain appropriate stock levels through all sales periods.
- Engage regularly with buying teams to maintain healthy warehouse inventories.
- Manage retailer forecasting processes including supply plans, in-stock management, event planning, item lifecycle, waste reduction, and analytics.
- Drive store operational process enhancements in partnership with store operations teams.
- Build and sustain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to streamline supply and demand efficiency.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives based on channel-specific challenges and opportunities.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional projects aligned with channel objectives, providing relevant context and expertise.
Candidate Profile
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in retail operations, supply chain management, retail sales, or related customer supply chain roles.
- Detail-focused with excellent collaborative and relationship-building capabilities across diverse teams and partners.
- In-depth understanding of supply chain processes including forecasting, replenishment, financial planning, store operations, inventory, order management, and distribution logistics.
- Strong project management aptitude with effective organizational and communication skills; proactive in initiating projects and leading teams including third-party vendors.
- Proficient in Excel and artificial intelligence tools to extract, prioritize, and communicate operational insights from data.
Team and Reporting
- Reports directly to the Manager of Customer Supply Chain.
- Works within the Customer Supply Chain team and crosses functions with Commercial, Demand Planning, Operations, and Finance teams.
