Role Summary
We are seeking a driven and skilled Customer Service and Sales Executive to join our Zambia team. This role involves managing pricing, coordinating vessel space utilization, handling commercial customer requests, and developing sales strategies to boost business performance for our feeder and regional shipping services.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle pricing inquiries and quotations over calls and emails promptly and accurately.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of RFAs/PMTs by agencies as agreed contractually.
- Evaluate and process customer requests related to free time and commercial considerations.
- Conduct investigations and verification for FCA cases.
- Monitor and optimize space allocation on GCS, GC2, CSG, and Intra Gulf feeder vessels.
- Assess agents’ efficiency in space utilization and provide necessary feedback.
- Coordinate with agencies regarding service changes, new routes, and vessel omissions.
- Manage utilization of REEFER containers vigilantly.
- Compile and present weekly reports on space utilization and CFMT for feeder services.
- Create PRD and Ocean/Feeder Link documentation.
- Review freight differences for COD requests and assign accordingly.
- Support tender account quotations preparation.
- Liaise with Dangerous Goods (DG) Desk to confirm commodity classifications.
- Assist agents in resolving LMS-related operational issues.
- Collaborate with Branch Manager to establish and implement effective sales strategies.
- Engage in negotiations directly with customers.
- Research and identify new market opportunities to expand business.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related discipline is required.
- Minimum of three years of experience in commercial shipping or trade operations.
- Strong communication and analytical capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and logistics management systems.
