About the Role
PaxeraHealth is seeking a Customer Care L3 Engineer in Canada to join its implementation and customer care function. This is a remote position for someone based in Canada, supporting a company headquartered in Newton, Massachusetts. The role is suited to someone who wants to build a long-term career in medical IT, enjoys solving complex technical problems, and is motivated by customer service.

Responsibilities
- Act as the top-tier technical contact for customers using PaxeraHealth products.
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve issues across healthcare imaging and related software systems.
- Deploy and support PaxeraHealth solutions in cloud, virtual, and physical environments.
- Assist with integrations involving PACS, RIS/HIS, EMRs, and other third-party healthcare systems.
- Keep clear records of project work, create and improve knowledge-base materials, and carry out root cause analysis.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure smooth implementations and timely case resolution.
- Provide specialist support for conferences, demonstrations, or onsite needs when required.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience supporting or implementing PACS or similar healthcare IT software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong working knowledge of healthcare imaging standards such as DICOM, HL7, and IHE.
- Experience with systems administration tools and environments including Windows Server, Active Directory, and VMware.
- Working knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, VPNs, NAT, and VLANs.
- Experience with SQL Server, database queries, and database administration tasks.
- Familiarity with scripting or markup languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Ruby, Perl, HTML, and XML.
- Exposure to tools such as Wireshark, IIS, Apache, and OpenSSL.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to support non-technical users patiently and clearly.
- Must be able to pass a drug test and a background check.
