Role Overview
We are seeking a CSA Construction Manager to lead a pivotal major data centre project located in Dublin 15. This leadership position entails managing the delivery of Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) work packages within a fast-paced and technically demanding environment. The ideal candidate will possess proven expertise in construction leadership, capable of assembling and guiding teams to uphold the highest standards in safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the CSA team, including supervisors, engineers, and package managers, ensuring all CSA scope is delivered successfully.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and Safety Team to promote and embed a culture focused on health, safety, quality, and environmental excellence across the site.
- Supervise procurement, design, engineering, and installation phases of the CSA works.
- Formulate delivery strategies for CSA work packages and assist the commercial team in drafting scope documents and subcontractor packages.
- Critically review client designs to identify any inconsistencies or deviations from standards, leading efforts to resolve these to safeguard contractual and commercial interests.
- Work closely with QA/QC teams to develop, implement, and oversee site quality plans compliant with project standards.
- Manage daily site operations including subcontractor performance, resource allocation, and monitoring progress.
- Create, manage, and provide updates on project schedules alongside Planning, Project Management, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with design teams to prioritise and distribute construction information aligning with programme requirements.
- Lead and document weekly progress meetings with CSA subcontractors.
- Participate in various project meetings such as internal reviews, design coordination, planning, and handover sessions; deliver clear management reports.
- Oversee project closeout activities covering punch lists, safety files, QA documents, and handover procedures.
- Support commercial meetings to ensure all variations are documented and communicated accurately for client change management.
- Review drawings, set-out information, and ensure coordination of builder's works drawings related to MEP services.
- Prepare and distribute daily and weekly project reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Degree related to construction, equivalent qualification, or significant relevant experience.
- Proven experience managing CSA work on large-scale construction projects, preferably with data centre background.
- Demonstrated success in leading internal construction teams and delivering complex, fast-track projects.
- Strong ability to oversee overall projects while focusing on technical details.
- Experience with project scheduling, programming, sequencing, and preparing look-ahead forecasts.
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication capabilities.
