About the Role
This opportunity is with Mercor, a company that connects high-performing creative and technical professionals with top AI research teams. The organization is based in San Francisco and is backed by Benchmark, General Catalyst, Peter Thiel, Adam D'Angelo, Larry Summers, and Jack Dorsey.
The position is for a Generalist Expert working on a contract basis at a rate of $70 per hour. The work is fully remote.
What You’ll Do
- Review AI-generated answers and judge whether they are accurate and show strong reasoning.
- Draft organized written feedback that helps improve model outputs.
- Spot subtle meaning, missing context, and weaknesses in the logic of AI responses.
- Prepare concise, specific, and evidence-based explanations rather than brief surface comments.
- Handle tasks independently and on an asynchronous schedule while meeting deadlines and contributing to model improvement.
What We’re Looking For
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred, ideally from a globally ranked top-500 university.
- Excellent analytical ability and strong written communication.
- Comfort working on your own while adhering to detailed instructions.
- Strong reading comprehension and critical evaluation skills.
- Native-level English fluency.
