Job overview
Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Control-M Scheduler Administrator for its Noida or Chennai location. The role is focused on administering enterprise scheduling systems, keeping batch processing running smoothly, and supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will bring administrator-level Control-M expertise along with practical experience in AutoSys.
Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of the Control-M scheduling platform, including setup, configuration, and ongoing maintenance.
- Track batch workflows, identify failures, and resolve scheduling-related issues.
- Manage job scheduling logic, workflow coordination, and job dependencies.
- Respond to production incidents promptly and work toward fast closure of critical issues.
- Provide round-the-clock support and participate in weekend on-call coverage for urgent situations.
- Work closely with application, infrastructure, and support teams to drive issue resolution.
- Help maintain stability, performance, and reliability across the scheduling environment.
- Carry out required updates, enhancements, upgrades, and patching activities.
- Document operating procedures, runbooks, and other support materials.
Required skills and background
- Strong working knowledge of Control-M at an administrator level.
- Hands-on experience with AutoSys.
- Understanding of batch scheduling, automation, and workflow orchestration.
- Experience supporting incidents and production environments.
- Working familiarity with Unix/Linux and shell scripting.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving ability.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise scheduling setups.
- Exposure to ITIL-based support practices.
- Good communication and team coordination skills.
