Contracts Executive / Manager - Renewable

About the Opportunity

This opportunity is with a fast-growing platform in renewable fuels and commodity trading that supports the shift toward lower-carbon transport and energy systems. The role is based in Singapore and sits within a regional team working closely with trading, operations, finance, legal, and commercial partners across several markets.

The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the complete contract process, with a strong focus on contractual accuracy, compliance, and the timely execution of commercial deals. It is well suited to someone who wants to build deeper experience in commodity trading operations while contributing to a collaborative team culture that values initiative, learning, and ongoing improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle the full contract journey, from initial drafting and review through execution, amendment handling, and final close-out.
• Work with commercial, operations, finance, and legal stakeholders to ensure contract terms are applied correctly in practice.
• Contribute to contract negotiations and flag commercial or legal risks that may affect the transaction.
• Keep contract records organised, including repository management, version tracking, and audit-ready documentation trails.
• Manage trade-related paperwork and confirm that it matches both contractual commitments and operational needs.
• Coordinate with counterparties, inspectors, terminals, and external service providers to address documentation and execution issues.
• Support efforts to improve internal processes, with the aim of strengthening efficiency, visibility, and operational controls.
• Assist with sustainability, compliance, and regulatory document requirements when relevant.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in commodity trading, energy, oil and gas, biofuels, or a closely related field.
• Hands-on background managing contracts from drafting stage through administration and execution.
• Good working knowledge of commercial agreements, General Terms & Conditions (GTCs), Incoterms, and trade documentation.
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders across trading, operations, finance, and legal functions.
• Strong accuracy, organisation, and document control skills.
• Ability to juggle several priorities in a busy, fast-moving commercial setting.
• Clear communication style and strong stakeholder management skills.
• Exposure to sustainability documentation or regulated commodity environments will be an advantage.
