Job Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct and analyze comprehensive fetal ultrasound procedures including first-trimester screening and nuchal translucency (NT) assessments.
- Perform early and targeted fetal anomaly scans alongside growth and well-being evaluations.
- Carry out Doppler studies, fetal echocardiography if qualified, cervical length checks, and assessments of multiple pregnancies.
- Accurately detect, diagnose, and document fetal abnormalities and congenital defects.
- Provide expert prenatal counseling based on imaging results.
- Engage actively in multidisciplinary meetings with obstetricians, neonatologists, and genetic experts to ensure optimal maternal and fetal health management.
- Ensure all examinations are reported promptly and precisely, adhering to clinical protocols and quality benchmarks.
- Maintain rigorous patient safety standards throughout all procedures.
- Supervise and guide sonographers, residents, and junior clinicians as appropriate to promote continuous learning.
- Keep abreast of the latest advancements in fetal imaging and maternal-fetal medicine to enhance diagnostic accuracy and patient care.
