About the Role and Project
This opportunity involves working with a top-tier contractor on a flagship hyperscale data centre project based in Copenhagen, Denmark. The role operates under a FIFO model from Ireland with a roster of 17 days on and 4 days off, including all weekends free. This position offers a competitive gross base salary complemented by substantial corporate perks designed to enhance your financial benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage planning functions and teams, providing regular programme status updates and risk reports to regional planners and project leadership.
- Guide and support assistant and graduate planners through mentoring and performance reviews.
- Oversee planning and programme management for both pre-construction and onsite phases, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations (FIDIC, NEC, JCT) in cooperation with commercial and project teams.
- Coordinate weekly and monthly programme status reporting to stakeholders, maintaining quality and accuracy of all programme documentation.
- Use subcontractor input and past project data to benchmark programme durations effectively.
- Develop detailed baseline contract programmes with fully linked logic and critical paths utilizing Primavera P6.
- Create construction target programmes aimed at identifying efficiencies and improvements.
- Prepare tender event programmes relating to subcontractor procurement, including design release and lead-in activities.
- Maintain all programme records within a Common Data Environment (CDE) and develop phasing plans demonstrating sequencing, logistics, and methodical construction approaches.
- Collaborate with project teams to define construction methodologies ensuring safe and sequenced delivery.
- Support preparation of project preliminaries such as logistics, staffing, and temporary works planning.
- Engage with supply chain stakeholders to integrate design deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Identify programme risks and opportunities, applying mitigation measures, float time management, and risk allowances appropriately.
- Monitor subcontractor tracking schedules, validate their programmes, and produce as-built programme reports that highlight deviations.
- Contribute to change request processes by advising on programme impacts and aiding approvals.
- Utilize 2D, 3D, and 4D phasing data to visualize current programme progress and produce validated output rates for live tracking and lessons learned integration.
- Conduct peer reviews to verify the quality, consistency, and accuracy across project programmes.
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or related disciplines is essential; equivalent professional experience is also considered.
- Certification or advanced training in project planning software such as Asta Powerproject is required.
- Membership or eligibility for membership of professional institutions such as CIOB, ICE, or APM is desirable.
- Advanced training in Asta Powerproject modules covering progress analysis, S-curve reporting, and cost/resource management is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Synchro, BIM, and collaborative data environments, including training in contract frameworks like NEC and JCT, is preferred.
- Experience in presentation and leadership training is a plus.
- Proven ability to use Synchro and other advanced 4D planning tools to their fullest potential is highly beneficial.
- Competence in BIM processes, creation or evaluation of 2D/4D phasing models, and ongoing professional development engagement are also valued.
- Mentoring or supporting junior team members is considered an asset.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual total gross package ranges from €160,000 to €189,000 with a base salary between €70,000 and €90,000.
- A guaranteed additional project allowance equal to 20% of salary plus a 10% annual retention bonus.
- Monthly tax-free subsistence allowance of €1,260 paid without payroll deductions.
- Provided accommodation consists of a two-bedroom apartment shared with one other coworker.
- Access to a shared company vehicle fleet and fuel without personal Benefit-In-Kind tax liabilities.
- Company pension contributions of 6.5%, which exceed typical market rates.
- Generous annual leave entitlement of 26 days, surpassing the standard 20 days.
