About the Role
8Hexa Financial Pte. Ltd. is a payment services business supervised by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. The company is looking for a meticulous and dependable Compliance Executive to strengthen its work in AML/CFT and broader regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out KYC and KYB checks, assess customer risk, and complete periodic customer reviews.
- Examine corporate ownership structures, identify beneficial owners, and assess source of funds and source of wealth.
- Run sanctions, politically exposed person (PEP), and adverse media checks.
- Monitor transactions and look into unusual or potentially suspicious activity.
- Keep compliance documentation accurate and organized, and draft internal compliance reports.
- Assist with regulatory filings, audits, and replies to requests from regulators.
- Help update AML/CFT policies and track changes in relevant regulations.
- Provide day-to-day compliance assistance to the Operations and Business Development functions.
Requirements
- Applicants should hold a diploma or degree in Business, Finance, Law, Accountancy, or another related field.
- At least 1 year of practical experience in compliance, AML/CFT, KYC, or transaction monitoring is required.
- Background in payment services, remittance, fintech, or banking will be considered an advantage.
- Understanding of Singapore AML/CFT requirements is useful.
- Strong analytical ability, a careful approach, and good judgment are important.
- The role requires clear spoken communication in both English and Mandarin, since interaction with English- and Mandarin-speaking customers and counterparties is part of the job.
- Candidates must be able to work independently within a small, hands-on team.
