Job Overview
Dangote Industries Limited seeks a Compliance and Biometric Officer responsible for overseeing driver safety adherence, managing biometric verification processes, assessing AI-generated camera alerts, enforcing fleet safety standards, and assisting in corrective measures to mitigate risks and boost driver responsibility.
Primary Duties
- Track and analyze AI camera safety alerts during shifts, focusing on issues like seat belt non-compliance, distracted or fatigued driving, phone usage, smoking, camera interference, and other unsafe driving behaviors.
- Ensure biometric capture and identity verification of all drivers before employment to prevent impersonation and enhance recruitment and fleet safety compliance.
- Assess AI alerts against evidence to classify them as valid, false, under review, repeated violations, or critical incidents.
- Oversee adherence to company policies, standard operating procedures, and controls.
- Monitor and document cases of speeding violations.
- Initiate and follow through on corrective measures including warnings, retraining sessions, counseling, or recommendations for disciplinary action.
- Identify patterns among repeat offenders, high-risk drivers and routes, frequent violation types, and weaknesses in controls based on shift data.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Two to four years of relevant experience in a similar industry role.
- Strong skills in analysis and investigation.
- Competent in documentation and reporting processes.
