Key Responsibilities

As a Community Corrections Officer (CCO), you will be an integral part of the Adult Community Corrections team, reporting to the Team Leader. Your work will involve managing offender cases in line with legal orders and professional standards, preparing reports for judicial and parole authorities, and collaborating with community partners to ensure positive outcomes.

Candidate Profile

We seek individuals who can engage empathically and respectfully with people from diverse ages and cultural backgrounds. You should be motivated to assist people facing complex challenges, help establish and follow through on individual goals, work well in a team environment, develop case management plans, produce assessment reports, and provide informed advice to courts and release bodies.

Application Requirements

• Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or permanent residency.
• Successful completion of a National Criminal History check and Departmental Integrity Assessment.
• Passing all required pre-employment evaluations, including psychological assessments.
• Holding a current, unrestricted C or C-A class driver's licence.
• Fulfillment of any additional assessments as mandated by the Department.

This recruitment will establish a pool of qualified candidates for potential full-time and part-time roles available over twenty-four months. Inclusion in this pool indicates eligibility for appointment but does not guarantee employment.
