Role Overview
As part of the Global Community team, the Community Builder for UAE will be instrumental in driving platform adoption and building loyalty by engaging prominent freelancers locally. You will bridge global strategies with UAE-specific execution, implementing events and content initiatives to grow a vibrant local freelancer community and generate business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead community growth by attracting and nurturing high-quality freelancers through events, personalized interactions, and content creation, transforming them into brand advocates.
- Develop and implement a compelling event schedule and content strategy tailored for the UAE freelance ecosystem to activate and deepen community engagement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align community activities with sales objectives, integrating global initiatives with local business priorities.
- Establish strategic partnerships with local organizations such as Chambers of Commerce and freelance permit providers to enhance Malt's visibility, while monitoring and analyzing community performance metrics for ongoing optimization.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in Sales, Project Management, or similar roles.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Middle East region, preferably UAE, with strong insight into local market dynamics and culture.
- Proven growth-focused mindset ensuring community efforts align with measurable business outcomes.
- Advanced project management skills for organizing large-scale events and complex communications.
- Highly organized, proactive, and autonomous, with a drive to innovate and improve strategies.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain trustworthy freelancer relationships as their dedicated professional partner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to craft engaging messaging across channels.
- Professional fluency in English is mandatory; fluency in French and/or Arabic is a significant plus.
Recruitment Process
- Initial 30-45 minute interview with Talent Acquisition partner.
- Detailed experience discussion during a 60-minute track record interview.
- A case study presentation (30 minutes) followed by a 30-minute managerial interview.
- Final interview with senior executives discussing Malt’s strategic vision.
- An in-person visit to the Dubai office to meet the team.
