Role Overview

As a Commis Chef, you will assist the kitchen team by preparing food, ensuring cleanliness, and maintaining high standards of food presentation. The role requires supporting various kitchen stations and following the directions of senior chefs to deliver dishes on time and up to quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing, cooking, and presenting food items to meet high standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and ensure kitchen hygiene and food safety protocols are followed.
• Support senior chefs with daily mise-en-place tasks.
• Manage proper stock rotation and storage of ingredients.
• Help with inventory deliveries and restocking supplies.
• Comply fully with health and safety and hygiene regulations.

Candidate Profile

• Genuine enthusiasm for food and basic culinary knowledge.
• Previous kitchen experience or current enrolment in a catering course is beneficial.
• Ability to multitask, work well under pressure, and willingness to learn.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Adequate proficiency in English for confident communication.
• Support will be provided to develop culinary skills and progress professionally.
