Opportunity Overview
The Commercial Director will oversee the commercial performance and expansion of ISKUS, a €24 million division within Fannin Medical Devices focusing on Wound Care, Patient Hygiene, IV Access, Procedure Kits, Surgical Consumables, Skin Preparation, and Oncology sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to drive growth, increase sales, margins, and profitability.
- Manage all commercial functions, including hospital sales, key accounts, tenders, and distributor relations.
- Identify and secure new agency agreements, supplier partnerships, and product portfolios.
- Cultivate robust relationships with suppliers, clients, and healthcare stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing commercial team fostering accountability and achievement.
- Enhance commercial processes by employing accurate forecasting, CRM systems, and performance analytics.
- Champion organizational change through engagement and influence while preserving the company culture.
- Contribute to the wider medical devices business activities as required.
Experience and Qualifications
- Proven senior leadership in commercial roles within healthcare, medical devices, or hospital supplies sectors.
- Successful track record in managing hospital sales teams and achieving revenue growth.
- Extensive experience in distributor management and developing supplier partnerships.
- Deep understanding of the Irish healthcare market, specifically HSE procurement and hospital purchasing frameworks.
- Competency in strategic business planning and financial acumen.
- Degree qualification in Business, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or related fields; MBA or postgraduate qualifications preferred.
