Cloud Consulting Architect

Role Overview

The Red Hat Consulting team is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect to be based in Qatar. This position requires expertise in Red Hat’s infrastructure and cloud technologies, focusing on best practices regarding automation, scalability, high availability, maintainability, reliability, and failover setups. The architect will lead on-site delivery and implementation of Red Hat’s solutions that empower customers with flexibility and performance. Deep understanding of customer infrastructures and business challenges is essential, alongside providing tailored recommendations. This opportunity allows working within a dynamic and fast-paced environment while promoting Red Hat’s innovative technology platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Earn customer trust by successfully facilitating discovery, analysis, and design workshops to align customer use cases with Red Hat architectures.
• Lead design, planning, and execution of consulting projects, guiding teams through pilot and production deployments.
• Develop and deliver enablement content that supports pre-sales, consulting, and support functions to scale Red Hat’s solution delivery.
• Collaborate closely with product units, engineering, consulting, support, and sales teams to enhance customer experiences.
• Contribute to creating scalable methodologies and tools to promote consistent, repeatable customer engagements while minimizing delivery risks.
• Display thought leadership by authoring white papers, hosting webinars, and participating in prestigious industry conferences.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proficient with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, including command line operations and Linux network configurations.
• Experience managing and troubleshooting containers and container platforms such as Quay.
• Competence in package management through CLI and Red Hat Satellite.
• Hands-on knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform as the foundational deployment platform.
• Strong architectural abilities in datacenter infrastructure encompassing networks, compute, and storage.
• Expertise with compute management technologies like Lights-Out-Management (IPMI, Redfish), UEFI/BIOS, and server hardware.
• Networking proficiency including Software Defined Networking (SDN), Layer 2 (ARP, MAC), Layer 3 (TCP, UDP), Layer 4 (IP), and Open Virtual Switch (OVS).
• Storage experience with Software Defined Storage (Ceph), SAN, NAS systems.
• Competent in Ansible playbook development and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Authentication and Authorization mechanisms such as Red Hat IDM and Active Directory.
• Experience in network/datacenter design, developing architecture documents, and conducting scoping and discovery sessions.
