Role Summary

The Cleanroom Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene within an ISO Class 7 cleanroom environment at the Falmouth site. The role strongly supports operational integrity aligned with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness and safety of tubing cleanroom areas, strictly following cleanroom protocols and cGMP standards.
• Support and foster a departmental culture reflecting core values: safety, collaboration, customer focus, excellence, respect, and integrity.
• Complete cleaning tasks as per documented risk assessments, company policies, and ISO 9001 quality assurance systems.
• Maintain accurate cleaning records to ensure traceability and compliance with relevant SOPs.
• Adhere rigorously to hygiene procedures and utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to prevent contamination risks.
• Assist with the controlled transfer of production and cleaning materials into cleanrooms following SOP guidelines.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives such as Operational Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), 5S, Behavior Based Safety (BBS), Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S), and stock management within tubing extrusion operations.
• Manage stock rotation of cleaning materials, reorder supplies as needed, and ensure proper storage following FIFO principles.
• Take ownership of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) compliance for cleaning agents.
• Perform cleaning and upkeep of cleanroom fabrics, equipment, and process machinery in coordination with team leaders.
• Additional production and cleaning tasks related to tubing manufacturing may be assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Previous cleaning experience is essential; experience in cleanroom or commercial cleaning environments is advantageous.
• A background in continuous improvement culture focused on production efficiency and health & safety standards.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues.
• Reliable, enthusiastic, and positive attitude with strong attention to documentation detail including SOP paperwork.
• Basic computer literacy skills.
