Role Overview

We seek passionate individuals committed to cultivating clean and healthy living environments. As a Cleaner at Bayshore, your role is pivotal in upholding exemplary cleanliness and infection control standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement infection prevention and control (IPAC) best practices across diverse cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, and vacuuming.
  • Manage waste disposal by emptying garbage receptacles and ensuring cleanliness of bathroom facilities.
  • Conduct thorough cleaning following patient discharge and maintain standards for admission and isolation rooms, adapting protocols for outbreak situations as needed.
  • Consistently inspect and care for rooms to meet the company’s high cleanliness criteria.
  • Safeguard equipment integrity and promptly report any damages or operational issues.
  • Handle complaints and requests with professionalism and patience.
  • Monitor and replenish stock levels for consumable supplies as appropriate.
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations and internal company policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum one year of experience in a similar cleaning or housekeeping role, or equivalent life experience.
  • High school diploma preferred; completion of Home Support Programs considered an asset.
  • Capability to travel locally between assignments.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 23 kilograms and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Strong detail orientation with a commitment to maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards.
  • Positive attitude, reliability, punctuality, and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Effective English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Competent prioritization and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high performance levels.
  • Capacity to provide clear criminal background check and vulnerable sector screening.
