About the Role
Rahool Academy is looking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) based in the United Arab Emirates. This leadership position can be fulfilled on either a full-time or part-time basis and demands a strategic and commercially adept professional. The CFO will spearhead the organization's entire financial direction, covering planning, reporting, risk oversight, and accounting functions. Close collaboration with the CEO and senior management will be critical to promote sustainable growth, enhance financial outcomes, maintain regulatory adherence, and underpin strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement comprehensive financial strategies and long-term planning for the organization.
- Manage financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and planning activities effectively.
- Supervise cash flow, treasury operations, and capital management processes.
- Deliver actionable financial analysis and insights to support the CEO and executive leadership decision-making.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports conforming to IFRS standards.
- Develop and uphold robust financial controls, policies, and risk management systems.
- Maintain compliance with UAE financial laws, tax regulations, and internal corporate policies.
- Oversee relationships with external auditors, banking partners, investors, and other financial stakeholders.
- Track financial performance indicators including profitability, expenditure, and critical KPIs.
- Assess investment opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, and key strategic projects from a financial standpoint.
- Lead, mentor, and cultivate the growth of the finance and accounting teams.
- Champion finance transformation initiatives, enhance processes through automation, and increase operational efficiency.
Candidate Profile
- Must have executive-level experience in finance, accounting, or financial management roles.
- Exhibit strong strategic thinking skills and a sharp commercial business mindset.
- Possess excellent expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, and executive decision-making.
- Comprehensive knowledge of corporate finance principles, accounting practices, treasury, taxation, and risk control.
- Demonstrate outstanding leadership capabilities, communication prowess, and stakeholder management skills.
- Adaptability to work in a full-time or part-time executive role based on organizational needs.
- Uphold high standards of integrity, professionalism, accountability, and confidentiality.
Educational & Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline required.
- Advanced degrees such as a Master’s or MBA are highly desirable.
- Professional accreditations like ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CA are strongly favored.
- At least 12 years of ascending finance and accounting experience including senior leadership positions.
- Thorough familiarity with IFRS, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, and internal control frameworks.
- Experience using ERP and financial software systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis and reporting applications.
- Previous roles within multinational corporations or the UAE market are an advantage.
