Nothing Else is a sensitive skincare brand based in Mission Beach, San Diego, formulated without water or preservatives. As we near our first anniversary, the company is rapidly expanding and looking to hire our very first full-time employee.
Job Overview
As the inaugural Chief Content Creator and Employee #1, you will take full ownership of growing our social media presence and scaling our brand. This role demands a hands-on, high-energy, startup mindset, collaborating directly with the founder, in a fast-paced environment without corporate bureaucracy or agency involvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce a majority of content (50%)—shoot, edit, and write engaging scripts, focusing on TikTok and Instagram, leveraging TikTok Shop, and delivering fresh organic content daily.
- Manage online communities and brand ambassador initiatives (25%), fostering engagement and community growth.
- Contribute to other startup tasks (25%) such as building local community connections, hosting product demos, organizing events, and assisting with photoshoots.
Candidate Profile
- Based in San Diego with a strong online presence and ambition.
- Highly organized, proactive, and self-driven with an ownership mentality.
- Thrives under autonomy and is motivated by measurable success in content-driven growth and revenue.
- Not suitable for freelancers, consultants, or those with multiple client commitments.
Requirements
- Between 3 to 10 years of experience working with direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands.
Compensation & Perks
- Competitive base salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000 per year depending on experience.
- Equity participation vested over four years, offering significant upside reflective of brand growth.
