Job description
Role Overview
The Chartered Accountant will oversee and manage all financial activities of the company, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and enhancing financial operations. This role demands specialized expertise in real estate accounting, along with knowledge of RERA guidelines, GST, project financing, and corporate legal frameworks.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain adherence to current Accounting Standards throughout financial processes.
- Prepare and interpret Management Information System (MIS) reports for leadership review.
- Track cash flow, funds movement, and maintain appropriate working capital levels.
- Facilitate coordination with external statutory auditors for audits and compliance checks.
- Ensure punctual submission of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory filings.
- Oversee tax planning efforts, ensuring full compliance with direct and indirect tax legislation.
- Serve as liaison between the company, tax consultants, and government agencies.
- Manage relationships with banks and financial partners, especially concerning project loans and working capital arrangements.
- Administrate loan documentation, disbursements, compliance, and repayment scheduling.
- Ensure conformity with Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) regulations.
- Oversee the compilation and submission of RERA financial reports and Chartered Accountant certifications.
- Formulate annual budgeting and forecast financials by project lines.
- Perform variance analysis comparing actual versus budgeted financial performance.
- Supervise and manage vendor payments and customer collections processes.
- Stay on top of receivables, payables, and conduct aging analysis of outstanding amounts.
- Regularly reconcile bank accounts and general ledger entries.
- Coordinate with statutory, tax, internal, and lender audit procedures.
- Lead and train the finance and accounts department team members.
- Review and validate the output generated by junior accounting personnel.
