CCIE ACI Engineer - CCIE Lab Certified (Mandatory)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cisco ACI Engineer, certified with a CCIE Lab, to join our team in Doha, Qatar. The candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, configuring, and managing Cisco ACI fabric in enterprise data centers, as well as integrating Cisco UCS infrastructure and performing migration from traditional network architecture to Cisco ACI.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Cisco ACI fabric within enterprise data center environments.
• Install, configure, and manage Cisco Nexus switches across 9000, 7000, and 5000 series.
• Deploy and administer Cisco UCS B-Series and C-Series servers along with UCS Manager.
• Configure and manage Cisco UCS Fabric Interconnects, Service Profiles, VLANs, VSANs, and firmware updates.
• Implement Leaf-Spine architecture utilizing Cisco ACI technology.
• Set up ACI policies including Tenants, VRFs, Bridge Domains, End Point Groups (EPGs), Contracts, L3Out, and Application Profiles.
• Conduct migration activities transitioning from traditional networks to Cisco ACI frameworks.
• Integrate Cisco ACI with virtualization platforms such as VMware vCenter and Hyper-V.
• Configure network protocols like VXLAN EVPN, vPC, OSPF, BGP, and static routing within data centers.
• Perform software upgrades, patch management, health monitoring, and lifecycle operations.
• Troubleshoot advanced issues related to Cisco ACI, Nexus switches, UCS systems, and wider data center networks.
• Collaborate with security, server, virtualization, and storage teams during implementation and migration projects.
• Develop detailed implementation documents including Low-Level Design (LLD), High-Level Design (HLD), Method of Procedure (MOP), and As-Built documentation.
• Provide technical assistance and support during maintenance windows and major rollout events.

Required Skills and Experience

• Practical experience deploying Cisco ACI in live production environments.
• Strong familiarity with Cisco Nexus (9000, 7000, and 5000 series) switches.
• Hands-on expertise with Cisco UCS Manager, Fabric Interconnects, and server deployment.
• Deep understanding of Cisco Data Center architectures and Leaf-Spine network design.
• Experience with key networking protocols: VXLAN, EVPN, vPC, VLAN, STP, HSRP, OSPF, and BGP.
• Ability to integrate Cisco ACI with VMware vCenter and other virtualization technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Experience managing firmware upgrades and network migrations.
• Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible, Python, or Terraform is advantageous.
• Familiarity with storage networking concepts including SAN, Fibre Channel, and VSAN is desirable.

Experience Requirements

• Between 5 to 10 or more years of experience in Cisco Data Center networking.
• At least 5 years of direct hands-on experience implementing Cisco ACI solutions.
• Proven track record in deploying Cisco UCS infrastructure.
• Experience working within enterprise or service provider data center environments.
• Involvement in data center migration and transformation initiatives.

Preferred Certifications

• Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Data Center or CCIE Routing and Switching.
• Cisco Certified Specialist – ACI Implementation.
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification is a plus.
