Job description
Overview
Join Walmart Canada as a Cashier and enhance your retail experience while delivering exceptional customer service. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining customer satisfaction at checkout and safeguarding company assets with attention to detail.
Key Duties
- Warmly welcome each customer with politeness and friendliness.
- Process purchases swiftly and accurately, including merchandise deactivation per the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) Program.
- Inform customers about company partner offerings such as credit cards, product protection plans, and charitable initiatives.
- Assist shoppers by bagging and loading their items efficiently.
- Adhere to safe work practices, including proper lifting techniques and keeping the workspace clean.
- Protect register security and integrity by careful cash handling, following company policies, and staying vigilant.
- Refer specific service or transactional issues to the Customer Service Manager when necessary.
Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this position is $16.50.
