About the Role
We are seeking a proficient and dedicated Carpenter capable of performing both manufacturing and on-site installation duties. The role includes fabricating wooden doors and door frames in the factory and subsequently installing, fitting, and finishing them at customer locations. This job suits candidates who appreciate a blend of workshop fabrication and fieldwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture wooden doors and door frames inside the factory.
- Safely operate machines and hand tools relevant to carpentry work.
- Perform cutting, assembly, lamination, profiling, and finishing tasks as required.
- Produce items accurately following drawings and specified measurements.
- Maintain high-quality standards throughout production processes.
- Keep the workplace and machinery clean and organized.
- On-site duties include fitting and installing door frames and doors.
- Ensure proper leveling, alignment, and secure fixing of door frames.
- Install hardware such as hinges, locks, handles, and door closers.
- Guarantee smooth door operation after installation.
- Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors during installation.
- Travel to sites in Pune and surrounding areas as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven carpentry experience, specifically in building and fitting wooden doors and frames.
- Knowledge and skillful handling of carpentry machinery and hand tools.
- Ability to interpret measurements and technical drawings.
- Responsible, disciplined, and hardworking attitude.
- Effective teamwork skills.
- ITI Carpenter certification or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Experience with flush doors, laminate doors, veneer doors, engineered doors, or modular interiors is an advantage.
