About the company

You will be joining a major cryptocurrency exchange serving tens of millions of customers worldwide. As the company expands its financial products, it has created a dedicated Card team to manage and grow global card programs from end to end.

Why this opportunity exists

This Card function has just been set up as an independent team, so the open roles are founding positions. The objective is to build a global card issuance business from the ground up: selecting the right partners, closing commercial agreements, and overseeing each launch until the program is live, stable, and growing.

This role is especially suited to someone who has previously taken a card program from concept through launch and into ongoing operations.

What you will do

  • Shape and deliver the strategy for launching new card programs in different markets, including identifying, evaluating, and securing suitable card issuers and BIN sponsors by region.
  • Lead commercial discussions with issuers, processors, and card networks while reviewing the fit across technical, product, and regulatory dimensions.
  • Serve as the program lead across the entire launch journey, from market research and partner onboarding to launch and post-launch improvement.
  • Work closely with Product, Marketing, Compliance, Legal, and Operations to keep initiatives moving and launches on schedule.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key partners in the card ecosystem, including issuers, processors, BIN sponsors, and card schemes.
  • Track card program performance metrics and run regular partner reviews to improve efficiency and support ongoing optimization.
  • Approach major global merchants to develop special cardholder perks and lifestyle benefits.

Who the role is for

The ideal candidate brings at least 5 years of experience in cards, payments, or fintech, with direct exposure to card issuers or financial institutions. Prior ownership of a card program from idea stage through post-launch is essential.

You should understand the card payments landscape well, including scheme requirements, processor relationships, BIN sponsorship models, and regional regulatory obligations. Experience with bank-issued card programs, fintech or neobank card issuance, or digital-asset-linked card products is all relevant.

The right person will be highly organized, comfortable leading cross-functional teams, able to handle ambiguity, and able to move execution forward independently. Strong communication and negotiation skills are important, along with the ability to operate confidently both at leadership level and in operational detail.

Fluency in both English and Mandarin is required.
