Role overview
Emirates is seeking cabin crew members who bring a warm presence, adapt quickly to changing situations, and help customers feel comfortable and supported throughout their journey. As the airline’s front-line representatives, cabin crew are expected to guide passengers, respond to questions, and deliver a high standard of service on board.
This role goes beyond hospitality. Safety, security, and aircraft service management are central to the job, and crew are trained in Dubai at Emirates’ dedicated learning facility to handle these responsibilities with confidence.

Qualifications and experience
The ideal candidate should have at least one year of experience in hospitality or customer service and be comfortable working in a team-oriented environment with people from diverse backgrounds. A high school qualification up to Grade 12 is required, along with strong spoken and written English skills.
Candidates must meet Emirates’ height requirement of at least 160 cm and be able to reach 212 cm while standing on tiptoes, so emergency equipment can be accessed on all aircraft types. Visible tattoos are not permitted while wearing the Emirates cabin crew uniform unless they are fully covered with bandages or cosmetics.
Since cabin crew are based in Dubai, applicants must also satisfy UAE employment visa requirements.

Applicants should be committed to consistently high standards, able to stay solution-focused, and ready for a demanding work schedule. The role also calls for cultural awareness and a natural ability to provide an authentic, caring experience to customers.
Compensation and benefits
Pay consists of three parts: a fixed monthly base salary, hourly flying pay for operated flights, and an overseas meal allowance. The stated basic salary is AED 4,980 per month, flying pay is AED 69.60 per hour based on an average of 80 to 100 flying hours each month, and the average total monthly pay is AED 11,244 (approximately USD 3,100, EUR 2,600, or GBP 2,280) for Grade II Economy Class.
Meal allowances for night stops are added to salary in arrears during the following month. Emirates also provides hotel accommodation and transport between the airport and accommodation. Other benefits include a competitive tax-free salary, profit share, concessional travel, relocation support for settling in Dubai, free accommodation, transportation, medical insurance, life insurance, dental insurance, and discounted flights for friends and family.
Location
Although the vacancy is listed for the Greater Sydney area, the cabin crew position is based in Dubai.
