About the Role
CN Foods is seeking a seasoned Buyer or Junior Buyer to become an integral part of our expanding commercial team in Tottenham, London. This role demands a hands-on, business-oriented individual passionate about developing product ranges, introducing new brands, and fully managing supplier outcomes. Reporting directly to the Head of Buying, the position provides significant responsibility and visibility within the company, overseeing a portfolio of food and beverage brands. The successful candidate will establish robust relationships with suppliers, stimulate commercial growth, and execute brand launches that yield sustainable value for both CN Foods and our partners.
This position incorporates a structured bonus scheme based on commercial revenue, brand achievements, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

CN Foods is a rapidly growing distributor specializing in premium food and drink, serving independent retailers, convenience stores, and niche food enterprises throughout London and the UK. We focus on ambient and chilled products, collaborating with over 400 suppliers. Our portfolio covers premium grocery, functional and health-oriented brands, international foods, quality snacks, soft drinks, wine, and specialty items.
Key Responsibilities
- Introduce a minimum of two new brands each month, managing the full lifecycle from launch to post-launch evaluation.
- Maintain and negotiate supplier connections ensuring strong partnerships and ongoing performance.
- Develop and uphold commercially viable product ranges emphasizing appropriate margins and pricing.
- Conduct post-launch assessments and regularly review supplier performance.
- Coordinate promotional campaigns, marketing initiatives, and sales incentives.
- Secure measurable revenue through rebates, representative deals, and marketing support.
- Monitor sales trends, manage stock levels, and address slow-moving inventory to minimize risks.
- Collaborate closely with sales, supply chain, and operations departments to align goals.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of three years' experience in FMCG buying roles.
- Deep knowledge and avid interest in the food and drink sector.
- Strong negotiation capabilities paired with a commercially driven mindset.
- Ability to work towards specific KPIs and financial objectives confidently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient in Excel and experienced with buying or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
